The FLEX Creator Series is an initiative by FLEX Automotive that brings together creators to design and build their vision of the ultimate Tacoma—fully executed by our team from concept to completion. Each build represents a unique perspective, combining real-world usability with carefully selected components to create something that goes beyond a typical modified truck.
“The Tacoma Toyota Forgot to Make,” designed in collaboration with Chloe (@chloekuotaco), takes a different approach—focusing on a factory-plus vision. The goal was to create a Tacoma that feels like it could have come straight from Toyota itself, but with all the right upgrades enthusiasts actually want.
This Tacoma was built around one core idea:
OEM feel. Elevated everywhere.
Every upgrade was carefully selected to enhance the truck without overcomplicating it—resulting in a clean, refined build that blends seamlessly with factory design.
Subtle but highly functional upgrades:
ARB Air Lockers
Rear Differential Breather Kit
Accutune Offroad RIDE Shocks Suspension Kit
Improving off-road capability while maintaining everyday drivability and reliability.
A true factory-plus combination:
Toyota TRD Pro Style 17” Wheels
BFGoodrich KO3 Tires (285/70R17)
Clean, proven, and built for both on-road comfort and off-road performance.
Designed for practicality and long-term usability:
Redarc Dual Battery System
ARB Twin Compressor (Under Seat Mount)
Optima RedTop Batteries
Supporting extended use, air systems, and reliable power management.
Enhanced visibility without overdoing it:
Rigid SAE Fog Lights
MESO Custom Puddle Pods
Lasfit LED Bulbs
Interior Lighting Upgrades
A clean lighting setup that improves function while maintaining OEM aesthetics.
Where refinement meets everyday comfort:
Alpine & Kicker Audio System with Subwoofer
PRP Seat Covers
Screen ProTech Protection
Dongar Dash Cam Integration
TRD Interior Trim Kit & Shift Knob
An upgraded cabin experience that still feels factory-correct.
Subtle touches that complete the vision:
Charvonia Design Billet Tie Downs & Bed Hardware
TRD Front Skid Plate
Black Chrome Exhaust Tip
Thick Rubber Bed Mat
Small details that elevate both functionality and appearance.
The Tacoma Toyota Forgot to Make represents the refined side of the FLEX Creator Series:
✔ Clean, factory-plus design with purposeful upgrades
✔ Enhanced capability without sacrificing OEM feel
✔ Fully functional for both daily driving and off-road use
✔ A seamless blend of Toyota design and enthusiast vision
A Tacoma that feels familiar—
but better in every way.
