New, yet nostalgic, Renoca, derived from Renovation + Car, promotes an entirely new car culture. Through “renovation” of pre-owned models of Toyota’s durable Land Cruiser and Tacoma, it adds a front-end conversion kit, to give the car an exterior classic facelift.

FLEX Automotive’s Renoca Wonder starts with the 60 series-style round headlights that transform the Land Cruiser into the concept that became the Renoca series. From its bumper, side lines, and roof line, the Wonder brings the classic monotone body style into a new iteration that showcases some of the finest Land Cruiser features in a new light without waiting decades for a new model.

■ABOUT THIS VEHICLE■

When Flex acquired this 80 series from a professional surfer who is sponsored by the black & white checkerboard company, it inspired the design of this “Renoca by Flex” build.  With a couple of surfers on our San Diego location staff (including another goofy foot), Flex created a cool “Baja Surf” vibe in this Land Cruiser.  In that spirit, Flex will make a donation to the Positive Vibe Warriors Foundation with the sale of this vehicle.  The foundation gives back to emerging surf cultures and supports youth water safety programs.

Underneath the classic styling is Toyota's legendary 4.5L inline-six engine, one of the most durable powerplants ever installed in a Land Cruiser.

To ensure this vehicle is ready for many more years of exploration, Flex completed extensive mechanical refurbishment and maintenance, including:

• Remanufactured cylinder head

• New cylinder head, timing chain, oil pump, intake, exhaust manifold, thermostat, and related gaskets

• New transmission lines

• New spark plug wire set

• Rebuilt front axle with new seals and bearings

• Fresh engine oil, transmission fluid, and coolant

• New battery terminals and connectors

• New windshield

• Comprehensive maintenance inspection

All listed repairs and replacement parts are backed by a 12-month, unlimited-mile warranty, while the previous owner recently installed new brakes for added peace of mind.
